WHITE FLOWERS YOU CAUGHT ME
We've been following the whimsical shoegaze-flavoured musings of White Flowers for a while here at TMR and with their 4-track Within A Dream arriving this Friday (15th of January), they've unveiled a bleary-eyed video for 'You Caught Me'. Shrouded in vast reverbs, jangly guitar lines, drowned in echo, wash against post-punk-inspired drum machines. Taking recognisable cues from the beloved Cocteau Twins (Treasure-era), the band explain: "You Caught Me deals with the concept that everything is multi-dimensional and in a constant state of flux. It is a response to the idea that perceptions of people and situations are only fleeting impressions subject to circumstance and interpretation, that nothing is ever really concrete. Sonically, layers of guitars, synths and vocals have been warped and re-sampled in a collage like way in an attempt to create an enveloping rush of sound."-Holly Mullineaux
